Opportunities for Children

God's Kids

We begin our evening at 6:00 sharing a meal with the whole family. This is followed by the children experiencing God's truths through worship, music, and lessons taught in small groups. Of course, there's always time for games and laughter

Children fell welcomed, valued and cared for at Hope Church. They learn who Jesus is, how to follow Him, and how the Bible can help them make the right choices now - and for the rest of their lives.

Preschool through 5th graders meet each Wednesday from September to March.

Sunday School

Hope Church provides Sunday school for children in preschool through 12th grade. Children meet in a classroom of their peers for 45 minutes as they learn God's word and how to apply it in their lives. Our caring teachers are both experienced and knowledgeable.

We meet on Sundays from 11:15am to Noon, September - May.

Children's Worship

Children ages 3 through 1st grade can attend this worship service designed especially for them. They are dismissed from the sanctuary to Children's Worship after participating in the beginning of the 10:00 am worship service.

Their time is spent learning a Bible story lesson in a way that they can understand. They enjoy puppet shows, singing, and praying together. They also share a snack and make fun crafts.

Library
Hope Church offers and extensive library for adults and children of all ages. The library is full of Christian books, videos/DVDs, and music which are available to check out for free.

Vacation Bible School
Each summer, we choose a theme as an educational outreach opportunity for children and their families to grow closer to Jesus. We gather outdoors for 5 evenings where children rotate to different areas such as: music, a Bible lesson, games, crafts, and drama. These areas all work together to enhance their understanding of the daily lesson.

Summer Reading Program
We encourage children to read in the summer not only to keep up with their skills, but also to develop a love for reading! One morning a week (for three weeks) the children will hear a story, make a craft, and have a snack. This is an opportunity for children and their parents to spend time together and enjoy the adventures of reading.

Nursery

Nursery is provided for children under 3 years of age during our worship services. The nursery uses a pager system to reach a parent promptly should a need arise.

Nursery is also provided for special functions throughout the year.

Safety Policy
Hope Reformed Church is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for the children and youth attending out programs and activities. In addition, we enact preventive policies that protect the volunteers and church staff. For more information, please contact the church office.
